As an artist, I strive to create artworks that retain an element of ‘beauty’ both in form and aesthetics. In a world that is constantly bombarded with imagery, the moments we choose to sit and think deeply of the intrinsic details of beauty in the world, are few and far between. In my work, this portrayal of beauty is conveyed in the form of standalone artworks, encompassing painting, sculpture and jewellery, to the creation of functional vessels made from glass, ceramics and other materials. I wish to give the viewer a multi-sensory experience, where each piece has a long-lasting impression on the viewers mind.
My work can convey observations of the intricate and delicate details of creation itself and capturing moments of human nature, with a subtle ironic humour, balancing between a serious social commentary and sometimes comedic view of life. Each artwork can be vastly different to the next, embracing abstract beauty, dreamlike composition and aspiring for technical precision.
